Student Housing: U of L cuts ribbon on housing development
Officials with the University of Louisville held a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday to mark the opening of The Province, an 858-bed student-housing complex.
The complex, which is located at 500 Ruggles Place, two blocks west of the intersection of Fourth and Lee streets, was developed by Columbus, Ohio-based Edwards Cos., in conjunction with the university and Edwards Communities, a subsidiary of the developer that will own, manage and maintain The Province.
Amenities at the off-campus complex include a resort-style swimming pool, a media and gaming theater, a clubhouse and a workout facility with a sand volleyball court.
