Data Center: New data center opens in Rensselaer, to bring 65 news jobs
RENSSELAER, N.Y. — A large business-tech company celebrated the opening of its new data center in Rensselaer this morning.
Computer Sciences Corporation, a technology consulting company, marked the opening of its new North American Public Sector Data Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.
The 128,000-square feet computing facility adds 65 new full-time positions in the Capital Region this month, and expands CSC’s current local workforce of 475.
The center will support large-scale government health care programs and independent health care organizations, CSC spokesperson Michelle Herd said.
CSC is headquartered in Falls Church, Va., and has 92,000 employees worldwide.
