Healthcare: Pelham medical office building sells for $2M

A medical office building in Pelham recently sold to an investment group for more than $2 million.
Shannon Waltchack Investment Real Estate LLC said it led an investment group in the purchase of the Highway 119 Baptist Medical Office Building from a health care real estate investment trust, according to a news release.
The 30,000-square-foot building is located on Cahaba Valley Parkway.
“Despite the fear and the difficulties within the commercial real estate market, we think that in the fullness of time, we will look back and see that right now is the time to be buying quality, well located properties,” said Derek Waltchack, a principal with the investment company. “We are aggressively seeking out those opportunities.”
