Healthcare: Emory Eastside planning $80M expansion

Emory Eastside Medical Center plans to invest about $80 million in an expansion that could create about 300 jobs.
A proposed 72-bed patient tower expansion is expected to boost the Gwinnett hospital’s inpatient bed capacity by nearly a third, Chief Operating Officer Dustin Greene said.
The investment comes as Emory Eastside undergoes a $13 million ER expansion, which will include 13,000 square feet of new construction. The Snellville hospital broke ground on an $8 million medical office building — its third — in August.
Demand is driving Emory Eastside’s investment, Greene said.
