Student Housing: Campus Advantage wins contract for new housing project

Campus Advantage was picked to manage a new nine-story student housing project opening near the University of Minnesota, Rochester.
The deal is the latest in the student housing company’s swift growth. Campus Advantage has increased from three employees to nearly 1,000 since its was founded seven years ago, and now operates 52 facilities representing 30,000 beds nationwide. Campus Advantage specializes in property management and development.
Last week, Campus Advantage announced adding three properties totaling 1,000 beds to its portfolio, including the University of Minnesota property, where Campus Advantage founder Mike Peter earned his degree.
The new management contract announced Thursday is called 318 Commons and is expected to open fall next year. The building includes housing, retail, restaurant and classroom space for the university and is is being developed by G.H. Holdings.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
