Healthcare: Via Christi approved for $10.5M in IRBs

by Emily Behlmann for Wichita Business Journal

The Sedgwick County Commission has approved issuing $10.5 million in industrial revenue bonds for Via Christi Health.

The bonds will be used to finance the 60,000-square-foot medical office building Via Christi recently built attached to its new west-side hospital on St. Teresa St.

The building opened in August and is quickly filling up with medical providers.

The county commission a year ago approved a letter of intent to issue the industrial revenue bonds.

According to the county, Via Christi will purchase the bonds itself.
