Healthcare: Perman Brings Medical Office Team to Grubb & Ellis

Todd Perman, the founder and former head of Healthcare Real Estate Advisors in Atlanta, joined Grubb & Ellis Co. in Atlanta. He was appointed senior vice president in the office group to focus on medical buildings, and will share leadership of Grubb’s Healthcare & Medical Properties practice group with Senior Vice President Garth Hogan in Newport Beach.

Perman also brought with him John Cobb as senior associate, Dana Hamric as associate and Morriah McPhie as transaction services specialist.

Perman is a medical office veteran with18 years of health care industry experience. He got his start with the U.S. Surgical Corp. in 1994 and then spent a decade at medical device company Stryker Corp. before forming HREA in 2004. As president and CEO of HREA, Perman oversaw a team that represented buyers and tenants in the acquisition, sale and leasing of medical office real estate and helped companies streamline processes and reduce operating costs. His clients include health care systems, medical practices, developers and investors. HREA has closed more than $150 million in deals since its inception.

Perman has an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and earned a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and is licensed in Georgia as a brokerage salesperson.
